SteveMy key objectives are…

  • Low cost Housing – we need to encourage schemes that offer truly affordable homes for local people before we end up driving the local families out of the villages.

  • Public transport – I would like to see low cost, reliable and integrated public transport serving all the villages in the Two Rivers area and beyond.

  • Community Projects – Encourage and support local community projects for all ages. I will work with other local Councillors to improve the effectiveness of the Council.

  • Encouraging public debate – The Greens promote open debate and want public opinion to be LISTENED TO. I will represent your concerns so please get in-touch.

Personal Note:

I have been involved in campaigning for people's rights both locally and national. I have had meetings with ministers and officials and have challenged this government on a number of new policies which will effect the most disadvantage in our society. I am a trustee of two charities and a member of the Open University Students Associations Executive Committee.

In other areas we have seen that Green Party councillors have helped calm the political tension found between the major parties. This enables the council to concentrate on the best interests of local people rather than political point scoring.

I am married and have lived in Mattishall for the past 2 years, and in the Dereham area for the last 12 years. After an accident in 2000 I struggled with coming to terms with my disability. Three years ago I started studying with the Open University and am currently studying for a degree in English Literature.
